Hull City have confirmed that club captain Michael Dawson will be out of action for a month due to a hamstring injury.
The 32-year-old defender had to be taken off 37 minutes into Saturday's 1-1 draw at Bristol City.
City currently top the Championship following an 11-match unbeaten run and have the best defence in the division, conceding just nine goals in 17 games.
"Scans have confirmed that Michael Dawson sustained a grade two hamstring injury during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Bristol City," a statement on Hull's official website read.
"The injury is expected to keep Dawson out of action for three to four weeks."
Dawson has played in all 17 of Hull's league fixtures so far this term.
