Hull City defender Michael Dawson has conceded that his side's urgency to beat the drop has been heightened following Burnley's win over Manchester City.
The Clarets pulled within a point of safety and within three points of Steve Bruce's men on Saturday, leaving Dawson frustrated with his side's inability to take a victory from their clash against Leicester City.
He told the club's official website: "All we can do is take care of ourselves. Saturday was a chance for us to move well clear and we're disappointed we couldn't take it, although you'd take a point after going down to ten men.
"We don't want to be looking over our shoulder – that maybe changes the way that you play. We want to get safe as soon as possible."
The Tigers face Chelsea at the KC Stadium on Sunday.
