Roberto Mancini: 'Inter Milan didn't deserve to lose to Torino'

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini insists that his side's 1-0 Serie A defeat against Torino was "cruel".

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini has claimed that his side "absolutely did not deserve" to lose their Serie A match against Torino this afternoon.

The Nerazzurri suffered a 1-0 defeat at the San Siro thanks to a stoppage-time goal from Emiliano Moretti.

"I am happy with the performance, as the team did what it needed to, held possession very well until the edge of the box, which is where we stopped moving and got lost," Football Italia quotes Mancini as saying.

"Football is so cruel and to concede at the last second like that... unfortunately that's the sport. It did feel very cruel. At the same time, we fell asleep, so we should not have allowed them a corner in the first place and then marked really badly on the set play itself.

"Inter absolutely did not deserve to draw, let alone lose, so I do say it felt cruel! We need more quality in the final third and more movement to create spaces, but we had kept the initiative constantly. We are on the right track."

Inter are currently ninth in the Serie A table, level on points with rivals AC Milan.
