Leeds United have reportedly targeted Huesca left-back Javi Galan as an alternative to Brest's Romain Perraud.
Brest's asking price of between £15m and £18m for Perraud has proved to be a stumbling block in Leeds' pursuit of the Frenchman and therefore the Whites have been searching the market for a cheaper alternative.
Galan featured 37 times for Huesca in La Liga this season, scoring once and providing two assists for his side, and he is an established runner with the ball having completed 121 dribbles - only Lionel Messi finished with more in the Spanish top flight in 2020-21.
Football Insider reports that the 26-year-old would cost Leeds £3.5m after his release clause in his contract was halved from £7m, with his current deal at El Alcoraz set to expire next summer.
Marcelo Bielsa is on the lookout for a replacement for Ezgjan Alioski, who is reportedly ready for an exit from Elland Road, and Galan is also able to operate in a more advanced role down the left wing like Alioski can.
Galan joined Huesca in 2019 and has gone on to make 83 appearances for the club, providing five assists along the way.
