Jurgen Klopp to rest Mohamed Salah against West Bromwich Albion?

A report claims that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will overlook Mohamed Salah for selection against West Bromwich Albion as he is struggling with a minor injury.

Jurgen Klopp will reportedly leave Mohamed Salah out of Liverpool's starting lineup for Wednesday evening's home match against West Bromwich Albion.

The Egypt international has played a starring role since joining the Reds during the summer in a club-record move, netting 13 goals in the Premier League alone to lead the scoring charts.

According to the Daily Mail, Klopp will take a risk by making Salah the latest player to be given a breather, having surprisingly left out Brazilian duo Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho for the meeting with Everton.

Speaking on the eve of the match against Albion, Klopp revealed that his leading marksman was taken off in that 1-1 draw last weekend due to a minor injury problem.

"I took Mo Salah off as he had a hamstring a little bit," he told reporters. "Everyone said 'how can you take him off?' I don't go out and say 'Yeah, but he is close to being injured'. He isn't at the moment, thank God.'"

Salah was voted the BBC African Footballer of the Year for 2017 earlier this week after an impressive 12 months for Roma and Liverpool.
