Malky Mackay: 'We'll give it everything'

Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay claims that his players will "give it everything" in their Carling Cup final against Liverpool at Wembley Stadium later today.

Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay has claimed that his players will "give it everything" in their Carling Cup final against Liverpool later today.

The Championship side travel to Wembley Stadium as the underdogs, but Mackay is relying on his players to put up a fight against their Premier League opponents.

"There are people who say this will be a one-sided final. That's fine, they can have their view," said the Scot. "What I know is that we have a group of players who are prepared to run for each other for every single second.

"I never expected to be at Wembley today, neither did they. But here we are. And the one thing you can guarantee is that we'll give it everything."

Despite an FA Cup win in 1927, Cardiff have never won the League Cup.
