Liverpool star Sadio Mane insists that he has "no problem" with manager Jurgen Klopp after he was dropped for Saturday's clash against Chelsea.

Liverpool star Sadio Mane has claimed that there are no issues between himself and manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Senegal international looked visibly exasperated in an exchange with Klopp when the final whistle blew in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

Mane was left out of the starting XI at Anfield and was only introduced onto the pitch in the 89th minute when it was too late to find a winner.

The attack-minded player has admitted that it was difficult to be dropped to the bench, and now he has explained what was behind the heated discussion with Klopp.

"He asked me to play on the right side and one time I tried to ask for the ball in the number nine position. Mo [Salah] was on my side and the coach was shouting 'Sadio come onto the right side'," Mane told Sky Sports News.

"After the game I told the coach it was easier if you told Mo to come in because he was close to you. But it was friendly, it was not because I was unhappy or something else. There was no problem, I was just communicating and explaining that to him after the game."

Mane has scored four goals and created three assists in all competitions so far this season.
