Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has brushed off rumours suggesting that Daniel Sturridge wants to leave the club.
Reports have claimed that Sturridge is ready to quit the Reds as he is unhappy with Klopp's criticism of his injury history.
However, Klopp was quick to dismiss the rumours and said that there were no quotes attributed to his striker.
"Who has suggested he wants to leave? I am not interested. He's looked great in training," Klopp told reporters.
"Daniel had problems in the past but this is the past. It would be cool to leave it there.
"Every player needs consistent training to be fit for Premier League football. We have tried everything we could."
Klopp said that Sturridge was close to returning to full fitness from his latest hamstring injury and could feature in next week's FA Cup fourth-round replay against West Ham United.
