Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has hinted that he would like to recruit Iago Aspas on a loan basis during the January transfer window.
The Dane was keen to sign the striker during the summer when it was made known that he would be leaving Celta Vigo, but the 26-year-old eventually opted to join Liverpool.
However, after a bright start, Aspas has fallen out of favour at Anfield and has made just seven appearances.
Laudrup has admitted that he still has an interest in the Spaniard, but he has also expressed concerns that the injury problems at Liverpool could prevent any agreement from being reached.
"He is an interesting player, he was on our list in the summer. He is at Liverpool and they have injuries too. Daniel Sturridge is out at the moment, so apart from Luis Suarez they don't have many forwards right now so I don't think that will happen right now," Sky Sports News quotes Laudrup as saying.
Aspas has yet to find the net for the Merseysiders.
