West Bromwich Albion are reportedly planning to make a move for out-of-favour Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho in the January transfer window.
The France international has been frozen out by manager Jurgen Klopp, who sent the centre-back home from the team's pre-season tour due to disciplinary reasons.
Sakho was a regular feature in the first team last season, but after failing a drugs test in April, the 26-year-old has not played for the Merseyside outfit.
The defender, who was eventually cleared after testing positive for a banned substance, suffered an injury at the start of the season, but the player himself indicated that there was trouble behind the scenes when he accused the club of lying about his situation.
Reports have claimed that the Reds will try to offload Sakho when the transfer window reopens in the winter, and West Brom could be the club to take the defender on loan, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Sakho has been working with the Under-23s to build up his fitness.
