Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has revealed that he will play no part in Monday evening's trip to Stoke City after picking up a knee injury.
The 29-year-old sustained the damage in the Citizens' final training session ahead of the clash at the bet365 Stadium and underwent further tests on Sunday afternoon.
City's medical team have informed the Argentina international that he will be absent for around two weeks, but Pep Guardiola's men do not play again after Monday until March 31.
Aguero is a doubt for his national side's upcoming friendly against Italy in 12 days' time, however, and may not be risked against Spain four days later.
During yesterday's training I had a discomfort on my left knee. The club's doctors told me I'll be back with the team in approximately two weeks. Now it's time for a full recovery!

Guardiola is now expected to call upon Gabriel Jesus against Stoke following the Brazilian youngster's recent return from a two-month layoff.
