Gareth Barry frustrated at missing Manchester City game

Everton midfielder Gareth Barry admits that he is frustrated that he will be unable to play in his team's last home game of the season against Manchester City.

Everton midfielder Gareth Barry has admitted that he is frustrated that he will be unable to play in his team's last home game of the season against Manchester City.

Barry is at Goodison Park on loan from City, meaning he is not allowed to take part in the game.

The match may go some way to deciding whether or not Everton finish in the top four of the league at the end of the season.

Barry told reporters: "That is going to be really frustrating, especially when there could be so much on it. I have been thinking about the City game for a few weeks now.

"We could be challenging for the top four, which has been our focus all season, or maybe City could secure the title at Goodison in front of me watching, which would have been interesting, to say the least.

"I suppose, speaking for both clubs, it is good still to have things to challenge for at this time of the year. It is a sign of a successful season."

Everton face Manchester United on Sunday.
