Manchester City reportedly plan to offer David Silva a fresh big-money contract in order to warn off any interest from Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old is believed to be a top target for the newly-crowned La Liga champions, despite Silva's camp insisting that the Spain international is happy with life at the Etihad Stadium.
It is understood that the Premier League winners are keen to remove any shred of doubt from the playmaker's mind by offering a new deal worth up to £52m, according to the Daily Star.
Silva, who is currently preparing for a semi-final against Portugal with his national side at Euro 2012, has been at City since 2010.
