Manchester United defender Patrice Evra thinks that his team must quickly forget their performance against Spurs as they prepare for trips to Cluj and Newcastle United.

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has declared that his team must make a dramatic improvement in their next two matches and not dwell on recent performances.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side lost their second Premier League match of the season in dramatic fashion as Tottenham Hotspur claimed their first win at Old Trafford in 23 years with a 3-2 success.

Evra thinks that the problem was psychological rather than physical and believes that renewed focus is the way to change things, starting with a trip to Transylvania to face Cluj in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The French full-back said: "I say the problem was inside our heads. It was not tactics, it was not tiredness.

"We put on the Man United face only in the second half against Spurs and this is not enough if we're to win the title.

"We must make sure in the Champions League and away at Newcastle we are back to the winning mentality we showed in the second half. We must forget the first half against Spurs."

United face a challenging week ahead, with an away match against Newcastle United next weekend to follow their midweek assignment in Romania.
