Alex Ferguson says that Manchester United will rely on experience of big games when they take on Basel tonight.

Alex Ferguson has said that Manchester United will rely on experience of big Champions League games when they take on Basel tonight.

United need at least a point to secure passage into the last 16 of the competition.

"I think we have to rely on experience in the last few years away from home, that is the record we are taking into the game," Ferguson said.

"It helps us, there is no question about that and let's hope it does for this match.

"I don't think that pressure affects us if you look at the number of games these players play in. They're involved year in, year out in semi-finals and finals. This is a big game and a hard one."

Swiss side Basel go into the game needing a win in order to qualify for the knockout stages.
