Merseyside Police reveal that they are investigating an alleged racist gesture that was made during the Liverpool vs. Manchester United FA Cup tie.

Merseyside Police have confirmed that they are investigating an alleged racist incident during Liverpool's 2-1 win over Manchester United at Anfield earlier today.

While the game passed without any problems, police have now revealed to Goal.com that an alleged incident of racism from a supporter is "under consideration for investigation".

However, the police also stressed that this was an isolated act.

It is not yet known which team the accused fan supported.
