Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has conceded that Harry Maguire is a doubt for Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester City at Old Trafford.
The England international was not included in the squad for Thursday's FA Cup tie against Derby County, with Solskjaer revealing ahead of the contest that the club captain turned an ankle during Wednesday's training session.
The United manager could not offer any guarantees that the 27-year-old would be available for this weekend's Manchester derby, where the Red Devils will be looking to continue their push for a top-four spot.
"I had a word with him before training yesterday to say I'm not going to rest him. But then he rolled his ankle in training so he had to stay at home. Hopefully he'll be okay for the weekend but I'm not sure," Solskjaer told MUTV.
Maguire, who became the world's most expensive centre-back when he joined United from Leicester City last summer, has made 39 appearances at club level this season.
The 20-time English champions are currently fifth in the Premier League table, three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea on the same number of matches.
