Widespread reports have claimed that Marcus Rashford has been passed fit to make his England debut against Australia on Friday evening.
The Manchester United striker limped off with what appeared to be a knee injury during Saturday's FA Cup final against Crystal Palace, sparking rumours that he could be a doubt for the clash with the Aussies and potentially Euro 2016.
However, a number of outlets have now learned that the 18-year-old linked up with the rest of the Three Lions squad today, which has resulted in suggestions that he will be ready to prove his worth at the Stadium of Light.
Rashford only made his senior United debut in February, but eight goals since then convinced Roy Hodgson to include the teenager in his provisional 26-man squad for the major tournament.
Wayne Rooney, Chris Smalling, Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana, James Milner and Nathaniel Clyne also joined up today, having been given extra time off by Hodgson following their cup exploits at club level.
