Report: Manchester United loanee Will Keane suffers serious knee injury

On-loan Manchester United striker Will Keane could be out for the rest of the season after damaging his medial knee ligament when playing for Sheffield Wednesday.

Manchester United's Will Keane reportedly suffered a medial knee ligament injury while playing for Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The 22-year-old is on loan at the Owls, but might not play for them again this season after leaving yesterday's goalless draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in a leg brace, according to the Sheffield Star.

Prior to his injury, Keane had netted once in five Wednesday appearances.

He is the second player Wednesday lost to injury this weekend, with captain Glenn Loovens facing two months out because of a broken ankle.
