Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is an injury doubt to face Manchester City in the EFL Cup semi-final on Tuesday.
The Englishman picked up a knock during the first half of United's 0-0 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup on Saturday but elected to play on.
Maguire, signed for £80m over the summer transfer window, was seen limping through the mixed zone after the game.
Reflecting on whether the defender would recover in time for the derby, Solskjaer told BT Sport: "I don't know [if he will be fit].
"We were close to taking him off at half-time, but he battled through and let's see how he recovers. We hope so."
United find themselves contending with a number of absentees, including Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Axel Tuanzebe, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.
