Sir Alex Ferguson predicts that Shinji Kagawa will be "far, far better" next season following the midfielder's hat-trick against Norwich City.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted that Shinji Kagawa will improve following his hat-trick in the 4-0 victory over Norwich City on Saturday.

The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder has struggled for consistency since his move to the Premier League in the summer, but Ferguson believes the 23-year-old is beginning to settle at Old Trafford.

"He's gradually getting his form back after missing a period. Next year he'll be far, far better," Ferguson told Sky Sports News.

Kagawa has now scored five goals since his arrival in England and his three on Saturday have helped United extend their lead at the top of the table to 15 points.
