Robbie Fowler: 'Liverpool should go for three points against Manchester United'

Former Liverpool player Robbie Fowler thinks that the team should be going to Old Trafford with the intention of taking three points from their fixture with Man United.

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has insisted that Liverpool should be playing for all three points at Old Trafford.

The player-turned-pundit feels that the pressure is on Manchester United as the home team, especially due to their loss to Swansea City two weekends ago.

"There's more pressure on them, being the home team and having lost their last game," Fowler told the Liverpool Echo.

"Am I confident that we'll win? Not really, if I'm being honest, but I'm confident that we won't lose. But I'm not one of these ex-players or pundits who says he'd be happy with a draw just because it's Manchester United.

"For us as a club, we should be looking to get three points wherever we go in the world. Fingers crossed we get it this weekend."

Brendan Rodgers's side make the trip to Manchester to face United on Saturday evening.
