Manchester United have reportedly identified Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri as the potential new manager at Old Trafford.
United sacked Jose Mourinho earlier in December, and the North-West giants have since brought in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a caretaker basis until the end of the campaign.
Solskjaer has won his first two games in charge, but the club's hierarchy remain on the hunt for a long-term successor to Mourinho with Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino allegedly regarded as their top target.
However, according to ESPN, United are ready to consider Allegri will the Italian's contract at the Serie A champions due to expire in 2020.
The 51-year-old could choose to remain at Juventus, but the possibility remains of a switch to the Premier League at some point in the near future.
