David Moyes has praised Sir Alex Ferguson as he celebrates 25 years in charge of Manchester United.

Everton boss David Moyes has revealed that Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has always been willing to lend a helping hand to his fellow coaches.

The 48-year-old has been full of praise for Ferguson, who will celebrate 25 years in charge of the Red Devils this Sunday.

"To stay 25 years at one club, especially one like Manchester United, is unbelievable," said Moyes. "We are all saying '25 years' as though it is something very easy.

"To be at that club for that long and have the achievements he has had is something. It is something which I don't think will ever be done again.

"I think he has been a big influence on a lot of managers because if you need help you can pick up the phone."

The Toffees boss has previously been rumoured to be the 69-year-old's replacement at Old Trafford when he chooses to retire.
