Gary Neville: 'Robin van Persie should keep his head down'

Gary Neville advises Robin van Persie to let his football do the talking over the coming matches.

Former Manchester United full-back Gary Neville has encouraged Robin van Persie to avoid giving interviews over the coming weeks.

The Dutch striker stoked up some controversy late last month following comments that he made about his teammates after United had been defeated 2-0 by Greek side Olympiacos in the Champions League.

Manager David Moyes has since insisted that he has no problem with the 30-year-old's opinion and having his say on the subject, Neville has urged the frontman to let his football do the talking.

The England coach then went on to clarify his view to one of his followers.

Van Persie is expected to start for United away at West Bromwich Albion this afternoon. You can follow live text commentary of that match here.ID:143050: cacheID:143050:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:restore:2875:
