Louis van Gaal "very happy" to beat Norwich City

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal reveals his delight after seeing his team record a 1-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has revealed that he was "very happy" with his team's 1-0 victory over Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Juan Mata scored the only goal of the match as Man United moved to within one point of fourth-placed Manchester City on the same number of games (36).

Van Gaal branded the three points "so important" ahead of Tuesday's trip to sixth-placed West Ham United.

"It's so important that we are still in business and we keep in business by keeping the pressure on our competitors. It's so important. I'm very happy," Van Gaal told MUTV.

"It's not easy as Norwich are fighting against relegation and we have to win because we lost two points against Leicester. Now we are still in the race."

Man United will end their Premier League season at home to Bournemouth next weekend.
