Louis van Gaal: 'James Wilson could feature against Watford'

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says that striker James Wilson could feature during the club's fixture away at Watford on Saturday.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said that James Wilson could feature against Watford on Saturday, but he would not be ready to play a full 90 minutes.

United will travel to Vicarage Road without both Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial, leaving Wilson, who has featured just twice this season, as the club's only frontline forward.

Memphis Depay is another potential starter in place of Rooney and Martial, but Van Gaal has indicated that the England Under-21 international will either be used from the start or the bench.

The Dutchman told reporters: "Wilson can play but he cannot play a whole match because he doesn't have the rhythm of the game."

United would move to the top of the table should they win Saturday afternoon's early kickoff.
