Aston Villa youngster Andreas Weimann is hoping a positive approach will secure a shock result against Manchester United on Sunday.

Andreas Weimann has claimed that Aston Villa will aim to be positive against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The young Austrian is confident that Alex McLeish's side can shock the champions despite their current league position of 15th.

Weimann said: "We are all looking forward because Old Trafford is a brilliant place and I think we will go there positive.

"Manchester United have been a top team for years and to go there is special.

"It's not long ago that Gabby [Agbonlahor] scored the winner there so why not again? We drew against a big club away in Liverpool and won at another in Chelsea so why can't we do it again?"

A win for Manchester United will ensure they move five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.
