Arsenal have reportedly identified Eric Bailly and Gary Cahill as potential targets for the January transfer window.
Unai Emery has helped the Gunners put together a 21-match unbeaten streak in all competitions, but the Spaniard will be active at the start of 2019 due to injuries to Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck.
The recent season-ending setback for Holding has left Emery short at the back, and according to ESPN, Bailly and Cahill have been shortlisted as possible replacements.
Bailly has barely featured for Manchester United this season and Jose Mourinho may welcome the chance to cash in on the Ivorian, while Cahill is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season.
Arsenal have recently been boosted by the return of Laurent Koscielny, but it appears that Emery wants another option due to the club's commitments in cup competitions.
