Rio Ferdinand urges Manchester United's Paul Pogba to 'shut down' Mino Raiola

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand claims that Paul Pogba should 'shut down' agent Mino Raiola in a bid to end speculation on his future.

Rio Ferdinand has called on Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to "speak out" about his future.

While the World Cup winner revealed in June that he wanted to take on a fresh challenge away from Old Trafford, his representative Mino Raiola has been increasingly vocal ahead of the start of the transfer window.

Despite saying that they will both respect the wishes of United, Raiola has also insisted that he has no intention of doing business with the Premier League giants in the future.

Club legend Ferdinand feels that the time has come for Pogba to clarify the situation as reports persist regarding a potential exit in January.

Speaking to BT Sport, Ferdinand said: "Injuries have played their part but it is frustrating because he is a talented player. I think he is injured and Ole is reacting to what is going on around him.

"I would tell him to speak out, your voice will be heard the loudest. Shut your agent down, you speak and add some clarity to the situation. That way your teammates, your manager and the fans know where you are out."

Pogba has been ruled out for a number of weeks due to requiring an operation on his injured ankle, which has restricted him to just four appearances since the start of September.
