Manchester United are reportedly lining up an approach for AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, with Chelsea's pursuit of the Frenchman believed to have stalled in recent days.
Bakayoko, 22, has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since the end of last season, with Blues boss Antonio Conte said to have identified the midfielder as a leading transfer target ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Monaco are frustrated with Chelsea's lack of movement when it comes to the deal, and United are ready to swoop for the powerful midfielder in what would be another blow for the London club.
The Red Devils have already beaten Chelsea to the signature of Everton forward Romelu Lukaku this summer, with the Belgian rejecting interest from his former club as he approaches a move to Old Trafford.
Bakayoko, who made his senior France debut in March, scored three times in 47 appearances for Monaco last season as the principality club won Ligue 1, in addition to reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League.
