Manchester United are reportedly not in a rush to sign Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane.
The Red Devils continue to be credited with an interest in the France international, who has allegedly told Los Blancos that he is keen on a move to Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window.
Varane's contract at the Bernabeu is due to expire next June, but the defender will still command a high transfer fee in the current market.
According to Marca, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are prepared to be patient in their pursuit of the 28-year-old, who was in action for his country at this summer's European Championship.
The report claims that there is an agreement in principle between Varane and Man United, but the Premier League club are yet to settle on a fee with his Spanish club.
Los Blancos allegedly want 'at least' €50m (£43m) for the former Lens youngster, but the 20-time English champions are attempting to negotiate a lower fee.
Varane has made 360 appearances for Real Madrid since arriving in 2011, winning three La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns in the process.
