Manchester United 'bid £42.1m for Sergio Ramos'

Manchester United increase their offer for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos to £42.1m, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly made a £42.1m bid for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

The Reds have had two previous offers for the 29-year-old rejected by Madrid, who have recently made him their new captain.

However, according to El Pais, United have significantly increased their bid for Ramos, and Madrid are believed to be considering the offer.

Madrid have also been linked with a move for David de Gea and it is thought that United will allow the goalkeeper to join the Spaniards if they sell Ramos.

Ramos has spent the past 10 years at Madrid after coming through the youth ranks at Sevilla.
