Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has said that the club are open to signing another centre-back and a left-back during this summer's transfer window.
The Red Devils have made two signings during the current market, boosting their attack with the signing of Joshua Zirkzee, while 18-year-old centre-back Leny Yoro has also joined the club.
Man United now have Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof as centre-back options, but the latter is being heavily linked with a departure.
The 20-time English champions are said to be keen on Bayern Munich's Matthijs de Ligt, with personal terms already thought to have been agreed.
However, a move for De Ligt cannot be completed until another centre-back leaves, while Man United are yet to come to an agreement with Bayern over a fee.

De Ligt remains a target for Man United
Ten Hag has said that Man United "are occupied" in the middle of their defence but would be open to signing another player in that area of the field.
"I think we are occupied [in that position] but we work continually," Ten Hag told reporters.
"I think the good thing is we already signed two players but I think it belongs to a club as Manchester United that you are always looking if the opportunity is there for better. And we still have time until 31 August."
Man United are also said to be considering bringing in a left-back, with Tyrell Malacia not close to returning from injury and Luke Shaw's ongoing fitness problems a concern.

Man United had huge issues at left-back last term
Ten Hag has said that the Red Devils must ensure that they are "always occupied" in that position.
"We're looking in all the positions to reinforce. But yeah, we need a plan in our squad to assure ourselves that we are always occupied in that position. That's clear," he added.
Man United are also being heavily linked with Bayern's Noussair Mazraoui, with the Morocco international potentially arriving as a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
West Ham are again being linked with Wan-Bissaka, with the Hammers seeing a proposed move for Mazraoui break down at the final moment.
Man United are also keen to boost their midfield this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain's Manuel Ugarte viewed as their leading target in that area of the field.
