Barcelona boss Xavi has reportedly accepted that the Catalan club will be unable to sign Ousmane Dembele to a new contract.
The 24-year-old's deal at Camp Nou is due to expire at the end of June, meaning that he is currently free to discuss a pre-contract with a foreign club.
Xavi has previously been optimistic when it comes to Barcelona's chances of signing the France international to fresh terms at the club.
However, according to AS, the Catalan club's head coach has now lost patience with the situation and has accepted that an agreement will not be reached.
The report claims that Barcelona are furious with the demands of Dembele's agent Moussa Sissoko amid suggestions that the Frenchman wants a £700,000-a-week deal.
However, Sissoko recently insisted that the contract standoff was not due to money.
Juventus and Manchester United will allegedly compete to secure the Frenchman's signature on a free transfer ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
