Jose Anigo has said that he is hopeful that Marseille's meeting with Nice in the Coupe de France will go ahead tonight as he looks to restore the competition's glory days at the Stade Velodrome.
Les Phoceens' Ligue 1 clash with Valenciennes was postponed on Saturday as the pitch was declared unplayable after heavy rain, but Anigo is keen on adding to the club's rich history in the competition, having last lifted the trophy in 1989.
"I like it because there's great history there between OM and the Coupe de France," Anigo told reporters. "I remember the victory at the Parc des Princes in 1976. Of course we want to win it and we'll do everything we can to qualify.
"Everyone's fighting so that the pitch is good but the pitch isn't soaking up the water and it's still very damp. I hope the pitch will be good but I don't have much faith in that being the case."
The match kicks off at 8pm tonight.
