Half-Time Report: Michail Antonio fires Sheffield Wednesday ahead

Sheffield Wednesday lead 1-0 thanks to a strike from Michail Antonio in the 35th minute.

Michail Antonio has give Sheffield Wednesday a 1-0 lead over Middlesbrough at half time at the Riverside Stadium this afternoon.

Lukas Jutkiewicz had a good chance to give the home side the lead eight minutes into the match, but he scuffed his shot just wide.

Antonio looked for the Owls' first chance in the 22nd minute, but Justin Hoyte was able to block his effort.

However, the Wednesday man had a second chance 10 minutes before the break when Reda Johnson picked him out with a ball into the box, giving the midfielder a simple tap-in.

Jordan Spence had a shot late in the half as the visitors looked to double their advantage, but could not find the target.
