Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has tipped young striker Adam Campbell to be "knocking on the door" of the first team next season.
Campbell made a handful of appearances for the Magpies last season, and Pardew has insisted that the 18-year-old has the potential to feature on a more regular basis next year.
The 51-year-old told the club's official website: "I think the one who is knocking on the door is Adam Campbell, and I would like to think that he will be in and around the first team next year.
"He is only a tiny, little guy but a bundle of energy and a bundle of quality as well.
"I've been very careful to look after him this year, but if we can progress him, then next season is a big year for him."
The England Under-19 international made his Premier League debut against Stoke City in March.
