Newcastle United are reportedly considering a January move for versatile Queens Park Rangers midfielder Ryan Manning.
The 23-year-old has started all 11 of QPR's Championship games this season after being converted to a left-back by coach Mark Warburton.
A Republic of Ireland youth international, Manning is currently top of the club's charts for assists, crosses, chances created and tackles.
Football Insider reports that Steve Bruce's Newcastle are looking for value signings in the window and as such they have prioritised the former Galway United player, who is expected to be available for a fee in the region of £3m.
Manning's current QPR contract expires at the end of this season, although the club do have the option to extend his tenure at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
The report suggests that the player's performances this season have also caught the eye of Southampton.
