Billy Sharp's first-half strike puts Nottingham Forest on course to record three consecutive league victories for the first time since April 2011.

Nottingham Forest are on course to record three consecutive league victories for the first time since April 2011.

The Reds lead Championship rivals Blackpool at the midway point courtesy of Billy Sharp's 25th-minute opener.

The 26-year-old, who scored his first goal for Forest in Saturday's 3-1 win over Cardiff City, smashed a right-footed shot into the top-left corner from a narrow angle on 25 minutes.

Sharp almost doubled his side's lead in first-half stoppage time, but his goal-bound effort was cleared off the line by Ian Evatt.
