Ex-Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies to have touchline ban at next job

The FA piles more misery on Billy Davies by confirming that he has lost his appeal against a three-game touchline ban.

The Football Association last night confirmed that Billy Davies had lost an appeal against his three-game touchline ban just hours after he was sacked by Nottingham Forest.

Davies challenged the FA's ban relating to an incident during a February match against Leicester City, in which he was said to have made physical contact with referee Anthony Taylor.

He had already served a two-game touchline ban after admitting one charge of misconduct for using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards the official.

The FA recognised the termination of Davies's time with Forest but said that he still would have to serve the ban when he takes on another management post.

The Scot also has to pay a £10,000 fine.
