Nottingham Forest have signed veteran midfielder George Boateng.

The Dutch free agent, 35, joins Forest on a one-year contract following a stint with Greek club Skoda Xanthi, where he scored one goal in 12 appearances.

Boateng previously played under Reds boss Steve McClaren while at Middlesbrough.

He joins fellow new signing Jonathan Greening, who moved from Fulham to the City Ground on Monday for an undisclosed fee.
