Ten-man Nuremberg beat Eintracht Braunschweig

Nuremberg come from a goal down with 10 men to beat Eintracht Braunschweig in the Bundesliga.

Nuremberg have come from a goal and a man down to beat bottom side Eintracht Braunschweig 2-1 in the Bundesliga.

Norman Theuerkauf showed early signs of Braunschweig confidence with a long-range free kick, but he got it all wrong and his effort went well over the bar.

Raphael Schafer in the home goal was tested inside the first 10 minutes, however, as Dominick Kumbela shot from the edge of the box, but the Nuremberg player dealt with it comfortably.

Hiroshi Kiyotake then came close to opening the scoring for the hosts, but his shot from the corner of the box was turned around the post by Marjan Petkovic.

With 10 minutes of the first half to play, it was the away side who deservedly went ahead.

Theuerkauf put in a corner, which Kumbela met to head down and into the net two minutes after home centre-back Per Nilsson was sent off for a professional foul.

Nuremberg were not done, however. They flew out of the blocks and within a minute of the second half were level when Kiyotake rifled a shot into the top corner from 30 yards.

Then within another minute they were ahead. Tomas Pekhart turned well after getting on to Josip Drmic's pass to find the net and stun the visiting supporters.

Kumbela had missed a penalty at 1-0 up, and when they had another chance at 2-1 down, Ermin Bicakcic also missed, which allowed the hosts to hold on for the points.
