Henrique: 'Paris Saint-Germain have held no talks over new boss'

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Henrique says that the French giants have held no talks regarding a new manager as Unai Emery continues to be linked with an exit.

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Henrique has attempted to defuse speculation regarding the future of manager Unai Emery.

Emery is currently on course to win the Ligue 1 title with PSG, but reports persist that the French giants will make a change in the dugout at the end of the season.

However, Henrique has dismissed suggestions that negotiations are already underway with any potential replacements for the Spaniard.

Henrique told FourFourTwo: "Every day we are confronted with information about the PSG coach. To be clear - the coach of Paris Saint-Germain is Unai Emery, he has a contract with the club and this is not the time to talk about this subject.

"We are in an important phase of the season, we have a lot of work to do to reach our goals and we need to be focused and engaged.

"No coach can say that he has spoken with us or is engaged with us for the future. All supporters of Paris Saint-Germain must know that only the club is authorised to communicate official information."

Thomas Tuchel has allegedly emerged as the favourite to take over at PSG ahead of next season.
