Serge Aurier apologises to Paris Saint-Germain, Laurent Blanc

PSG defender Serge Aurier apologises to the club and manager Laurent Blanc after being suspended for offensive remarks made about his teammates and boss.

Paris Saint-Germain full-back Serge Aurier has apologised to the club and manager Laurent Blanc for disparaging remarks made via video streaming service Periscope.

Aurier is alleged to have made homophobic comments regarding Blanc and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in addition to criticising fellow teammates Salvatore Sirigu and Gregory van der Wiel.

The Ivory Coast international has been suspended by the club as a result, but has now apologised for his comments and admitted that his behaviour was "unforgivable".

"I have made a big mistake. I am here to apologise to the coach, my teammates, the club and the fans. I accept the sanctions and I will assume the consequences. I am unforgivable," Aurier said in a statement.

"I want to apologise particularly to the coach. Today, I can only thank him for all that he has done for me since I arrived. He wanted me here, it happened and things have been going very well so I think I owe him a lot.

"That is why tonight I apologise sincerely for everything that was said and I sincerely regret it. I want to apologise again to everybody involved with this club."

The 23-year-old joined PSG from Toulouse in 2014.
