Mark Hughes insists that he is not taking any notice of speculation that he will be replaced as Queens Park Rangers manager if results do not improve quickly.

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has insisted that he is not bothered by mounting speculation over his future.

Hughes is under pressure after a poor start to the season at Loftus Road, taking just two points from seven Premier League games.

The former Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers boss is adamant that he can turn things round in West London.

Hughes told The Mirror: "I'm not nervous about it at all. I know how I work, and what my staff do on a daily basis. I would put my ability up against anybody.

"We are where we are, and I understand the focus on us is not going to go away until we start winning games, so why worry about it?

"At this stage of the season, in terms of setting targets, we are probably two wins short of where we thought we would be, so we're not a million miles away."

Rangers continue to search for their first win of the season this weekend against an in-form Everton.
