Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes says that he expects Anton Ferdinand to wear the 'Kick It Out' T-shirt this weekend, despite reports claiming that the defender intends to boycott the anti-racism campaign.

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has claimed that he expects defender Anton Ferdinand to wear an anti-racism T-shirt supporting the 'Kick It Out' campaign ahead of their match against Everton this weekend.

The 27-year-old was reportedly planning to boycott the group following Reading striker Jason Roberts's claims that the campaign has not done enough to stamp out racism.

"I think Anton is going to wear the T-shirt," said Hughes. "I haven't been told any different.

"Obviously people will have a view in terms of where they think campaigns against racism in football and in life and some will think not enough is being done. But if you look in the last 10-20 years a huge amount has been done to make sure racism doesn't have a part or a presence in football."

Reports had also suggested that Ferdinand's brother Rio was also planning to snub the shirt but Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted that all his players will support the campaign.
