Rafael van der Vaart coy over Queens Park Rangers switch

Hamburger SV midfielder Rafael van der Vaart reveals that he is on good terms with Harry Redknapp as reports link him with a move to Queens Park Rangers.

Hamburger SV midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has revealed that he enjoyed a great relationship with Harry Redknapp during his time at Tottenham Hotspur.

Van der Vaart has been linked with a reunion with Redknapp at Queens Park Rangers, and while he insists that no contact has been made regarding a potential move, he hasn't ruled out a return to London.

The 31-year-old told Bild: "We had a great relationship at Tottenham, he is a top manager. In one year at the club, I scored 12 goals, and in the other 13.

"However, he is yet to ring me. Since then, there has been very little contact made. You just don't know what is going to happen in football."

The Netherlands international currently has one year remaining on his existing deal with Hamburg, but it has been reported that the Bundesliga outfit would rather cash in on the playmaker than risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.
