Glasgow Rangers manager Ally McCoist has praised the way that the club's supporters got behind the team this afternoon.
The Gers slumped to a 1-0 defeat at home to Kilmarnock to round off a week which saw the club enter administration.
Despite Gers' ongoing financial troubles, almost 50,000 fans turned out at Ibrox to support their side.
"The fans were unbelievable, I was sitting up in the office at 1.30pm and the noise outside was incredible," he told the club's official website.
"They were everything we expected them to be today and I'm gutted we couldn't give them a win.
"But if they continue that support that will help us so much because we need everyone to stick together right now. If we do that we will have a fighting chance."
Rangers now trial Celtic by 14 points at the top of table.
