Alvaro Morata: 'Juventus will have to be perfect in second leg'

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata believes that his side will need a "perfect" second leg if they are to beat Real Madrid and reach the Champions League final.

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has admitted that his side will need to perform even better in the second leg of their semi-final tie against Real Madrid if they are to reach the final of the Champions League.

The Spaniard scored against his former club to help the Serie A champions to a 2-1 victory in the first leg this evening, handing the Old Lady a slender advantage heading into next week's return fixture.

However, Morata was keen to stress that the job is only half done and warned that his side will need to be "perfect" if they are to knock out a team he believes to be the best in the world.

"We won a great match, but semi-finals are decided over two legs and we need a perfect display in Madrid," the 22-year-old told reporters.

"We know what kind of team Real are: they're the best in the world, and we'll need to be even better than we were tonight. Everyone's happy for tonight's victory but it's vital that we don't think that the tie is done and dusted."

Morata, who spent six years at Madrid, refused to celebrate his goal and admitted after the match that it would be "difficult" to knock his former club out of the competition.
